From Harivulagam Wiki

Welcome to the Harivulagam Wiki

This is the knowledge base of Harivulagam — a collaborative space for documenting, exploring, and connecting the ideas, traditions, and discoveries that shape our understanding of consciousness, time, and the human journey.

Harivulagam (from Hari, the preserver; ulagam, Tamil for "world"; and *v* for virtual) means "the preserver's virtual world of knowledge." This wiki is the factual foundation of that world. The main site holds the connections.

Two Kinds of Content

Harivulagam holds two kinds of content, and they live in two places. Knowing which one you are reading changes how you read it.

Knowledge Entries — here, on the wiki

Neutral, sourced entries about texts, traditions, concepts, people, and events. These are the known things — the facts, the records, the definitions.

They are written to be verifiable. They cite sources. They are open to community improvement.

Read these as you would read an encyclopedia: for information, not interpretation.

Connection Articles — on the main site

Authored trails that begin with something known and follow a path toward something less known. These are the connections — the resonances, the patterns, the questions.

They are written in the author's voice. They are clearly labeled as interpretation. They are not open to community rewriting.

Read these as you would read a map: for orientation, not instruction.

The Six Pillars

The wiki is organized into six pillars. Each pillar has its own landing page, its own entries, and its own rules for contribution.

Pillar What You'll Find Contribution Rules
Epics & Scriptures Mahabharata, Ramayana, Puranas, Upanishads, Vedas, and other traditions Open editing. Cite primary sources.
Science & Quantum Quantum mechanics, cosmology, consciousness studies, and their conceptual foundations Open editing. Cite peer-reviewed sources. Be precise about what is established.
Siddhas & Lineages South Indian Siddhas, Siddha medicine, and the lineages of realized masters Open editing. Distinguish traditional accounts from historical evidence.
Dream Insights Documented accounts of insights received through dreams and intuition Submit as witness records. Dated, first-person, unedited.
Historical Events Dates, places, and records that anchor the knowledge base in time Open editing. Cite historical sources.
Synthesis Cross-domain connections — where traditions, science, and insight meet Open editing. Label all connection types clearly.

How to Navigate

If you are looking for a specific topic:

Use the search bar at the top of any page. Search works across all pillars and all content types.

If you are browsing:

Start with a pillar page. Each one lists its key entries, its connection articles, and its related pillars.

If you are following a trail:

Start on the main site. Connection articles link to the wiki entries they draw on, so you can move between fact and interpretation as you read.

If you prefer a visual view:

Open the concept map at harivulagam.com/map. It shows the six pillars and their connections as a zoomable canvas.

Why a Wiki?

We believe that knowledge is most powerful when it is structured, sourced, and shared.

This wiki serves as the living memory of the Harivulagam project — a place where facts are preserved, refined, and connected. Unlike the main site, which holds authored connection articles, this wiki holds neutral knowledge entries that anyone can improve.

The relationship between the two is simple:

  • Wiki (here) → What is known
  • Main site (Harivulagam.com) → How the known connects to the unknown

Together, they form a single map — one that holds both the territory and the trails across it.

A Note on Disagreement

You will find things here you disagree with. That is expected, and it is welcome.

If you think a fact is wrong, correct it, with a source.

If you think an interpretation is wrong, you may write a response. You may not edit the original.

If you think an intuition is wrong, you are free to say so — but you cannot argue with what someone experienced. You can only offer your own.

Disagreement is not a problem here. It is part of the map.
